01-01-2006 update: The owners retired in May 2005. The name lives on in a wondeful cookbook and other merchandise available through their website.

If you don't believe that truly great food can be found in questionable places, you haven't been to Uglesich's. This ramshackle building, in arguably one of the worst neighborhoods in New Orleans, regularly has a waiting line that flows out the door and around the block at lunchtime. A variety of seafood specialties to fill your tummy.
